Microsoft Office 2003: Buffer Overrun Detected
| General |
We all know that message when it appears when you\'re just about to reply to an email in Outlook 2003, or just trying to
edit a document in Word 2003.
This bug happens in some cases due to a speller related problem, and Microsoft have released a buonch of useless KB Articles on the
issue.
Eventually, it comes down to an easy workaround: Close all Office applications (Actually go into task manager ->processes and make
sure no OUTLOOK.EXE is still running or it will fail this workaround).
Open Word 2003, go into Tools->Options->Spelling and Grammar and click\"Custom Dictionary" just in the middle of the window.
Uncheck CUSTOM.DIC and click OK on the warning Pop-Up, and then OK again on the options main screen.
Close Word.
You\'re done :) this will not nag you again until the next update :)
